I like this concept of gen x/gen z and boomers/millennials. Makes sense. Gen xer here, looking forward to a little more fun and a little less earnestness. 🤪

I think it's really true. Boomers/Millennials were both raised in prosperity and seem attuned to self, how others perceive them and materialism/status. More optimism in them.

Gen Z/X - both raised in eras of anxiety. There's more world weariness, dark humor, more of a "it's all on our shoulders" - Gen X was sarcastic, Z is absurdist. Climate consciousness picked up in the 90s and now Z is more into it.

Of course, the parenting generally aligns as well so maybe that all tracks. Boomers largely parented Millennials and X parented Z. Mostly - I don't fit on either side of that. My mom was boomer and my kid is Alpha.
